Summary Pakistan is a safe country for conducting cricket matches, said Zimbabwean captain
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Head of delegation of Zimbabwean team said on Tuesday that the tour to Pakistan bodes well for the host country and all fears have been cast aside to play cricket in Pakistan, reported Dunya News.
Talking to media, head of Zimbabwean delegate said that cricket is a popular sport which should not go into isolation.
He said that Zimbabwean cricket had faced a similar situation which is why it feels for the state of Pakistani cricket and has taken a voluntary step in this regard.
He said that Pakistan has arranged high security measures for the tour to ensure the safety of the cricketers.
He expressed the desire to see Pakistani cricket fans take pleasure in the fact that cricket is being played in their country once again adding that cricket is revered in Pakistan as much as religion.
Taking to media, the head of delegation said that the tour to Pakistan is a win for cricket in the country adding that the sight of local heroes playing at home will be a sight to behold for the Pakistani cricket fans.
Addressing the media, Zimbabwean captain said that Pakistan is a safe country for conducting cricket matches.
Talking about the local conditions, Zimbabwean captain said that although his team is not familiar with local conditions yet it will try to play its best game against Pakistan.
