According to the sources, Chief Selector Haroon Rasheed is focusing the ongoing Super-8 Twenty20 tournament in Faisalabad and the boys performing there may get a chance into the team for the Zimbabwe series.
Sources claim that Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal were dropped due to their poor performance but their performances in Super-8 tournament may earn them their places back in the team.
New players that have shown promise, and may get a chance into the Pakistan squad, include Bilal Asif and Mukhtar Ahmad of Sialkot Stallions.
