(Web Desk) - Zimbabwe Cricket announced on Thursday that it would send the national team to Pakistan this month, becoming the first team to visit the country in six years.
"I can confirm that @ZimCricketv will tour @TheRealPCB in May," Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Wilson Manase was quoted as saying by the board s Twitter account.

He said that all matches will be played in Lahore.

Zimbabwe Cricket chief further said the decision has been taken after thoroughly reviewing all the factors.
"We have taken cognisance of all the factors for us to arrive at this decision, so let s not be alarmist about the situation in Pak," W.M

A security team from the African nation will visit Pakistan to assess the situation before a final itinerary is announced.
Foreign teams refused to tour Pakistan over security fears since a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009. Pakistan has had to host all its home matches in United Arab Emirates instead.
