LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Schedule of Zimbabwe cricket team’s Pakistan tour has been slightly changed and now instead of reaching Pakistan on 17 May, Zimbabwe team will come on 19 May and all matches will be played in Lahore.

After terrorist attack on Sri Lankan cricket team international cricket was not played on Pakistan’s grounds for many years. Zimbabwe’s visit to Pakistan will be the first by an International Cricket Council (ICC) full member team after the terrorism episode. Zimbabwe will play 3 one day international (ODI) matches and 2 T-Twenty matches.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, the date of Zimbabwe’s security team’s arrival has not been finalized yet but Pakistan will provide full security to the guest team and Zimbabwe team will be treated as state guests. PCB officials said that along with police, rangers will also be appointed for the security of the team. Security troops will cover all the area near Qaddafi Stadium while Nashtar Park Sports Complex and all the food points will remain closed during the tournaments.

Zimbabwe team will stay at National Cricket Academy instead of Pearl Continental Hotel due to security reasons while PCB will bear all the travel expenses of Zimbabwe cricket team as a gesture of goodwill.
