HAMILTON (AFP) - Ireland, who won the toss and batted, were kept down to 259 all out in 49 overs by India in their World Cup Pool B match in Hamilton on Tuesday.

Middle-order batsman Niall O Brien hit a solid 75 while skipper William Porterfield made 67 on a batting-friendly pitch at Seddon Park. Opener Peter Stirling chipped in with 42.
