Summary Sarfraz Nawaz demanded Army Chief to take action and probe Imran Nazir's allegations

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s star opener Imran Nazir has said that Intikhab Alam had demanded commission from him for allowing him playing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Talking in Dunya News program ‘Yeh Hai Cricket Dewangi’, Imran Nazir said that the people of Pakistan must know which people in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are wronging the national talent.

Imran Nazir on Sunday said that Intikhab Alam tried to strike a deal with him. He said that the players are forced to lick the boots of Director Domestic just to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from him. He said that the powerful people in the cricket board would hurt players’ careers if they say anything against them. “Cricket is destined to such condition if such people continue to hold important positions in PCB”, he said.

Former Test cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz said that players need NOC from board to go abroad. He said that former Pakistan opener and chief selector Aamir Sohail had said the same about Intikhab Alam. He also demanded fair inquiry of Imran Nazir’s allegations. He said that the inquiry commission should also have members of the International Cricket Council (ICC). He also demanded Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to take strict action over the matter.
