NELSON (Dunya News) – Ireland’s left-arm leg-spinner George Dockrell claimed three quick wickets to restrict West Indies 95/5 after completion of 25 overs in their World Cup encounter on Monday.
Dwayne Smith was removed by KJ O Brien in the eighth over of the West Indies innings. Smith scored 18 runs. DM Bravo followed him quickly without scoring any run. Then George Dockrell removed Chris Gayle (36), Marlon Samuels (21) and
Denesh Ramdin (1) to restrict West Indies to 93/5 at the end of 25th over.
Earlier, Ireland won the toss and opted to bowl first against the West Indies in their opening Pool B match in Nelson on Monday.
