LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal on Thursday has said that he does not think he is fit for the World Cup that is why he refused to be a part of the squad.

He expressed these views in an exclusive interview with Dunya News.

He said that he is working very hard to correct his bowling action. Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) imposed a ban on Ajmal for his bowling action. He said that he has worked very hard on his bowling action and has produced a new variety in his bowling. He was confident that he would clear his bowling action test.

Ajmal said that he did not deem himself fit for the World Cup that is why it was better to refuse to join the World Cup 2015 squad. He said that he wants to come back to the team as a front line bowler. He said that he would deliver five different varieties for the test and the only delivery that fails would be banned and not all five.

Ajmal is all set to leave for Chennai, India today as his test is due on January 24.
