ABU DHABI (AFP) - New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat in the fourth day-night international against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

New Zealand left out James Neesham, Anton Devcich and Nathan McCullum from the line-up of the third one-day match which they lost by 147 runs in Sharjah, bringing in Daniel Vettori, Adam Milne and Dean Brownlie.

Pakistan, who lead the series 2-1, left out fast bowler Wahab Riaz and out of form Asad Shafiq and brought in all-rounder Anwar Ali and batsman Nasir Jamshed.

Pakistan won the first and third matches while New Zealand won the second.

Pakistan earlier decided to go ahead with the match despite the tragic events in northwest city of Peshawar, where 141 people were killed in attacks by the Taliban.

Prior to start of the match, Pakistani players wore black armbands in grief and observed a two-minute silence.

Earlier today, while expressing its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the proceeds of the 4th ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand will be donated to the families of the martyred children and towards rebuilding of the school.

To demonstrate solidarity in view of the enormous tragedy that has befallen the nation, the PCB has decided to postpone today’s Malala Cup final match scheduled at Muridke. The PCB has also postponed the 4th One day match between Pakistan A and Kenya team scheduled for 18th December. The Fourth One Day will now be played on 19th December.

"We tried our best to postpone the 4th ODI but were constrained by the Broadcasters commitment as well as for cricketing reasons advised by New Zealand management", explained the PCB Spokesman.
