Pakistan has bowled New Zealand all out on Day-3 of the first Test in Abu Dhabi for 262, getting a 304-run lead over the visiting side. Pakistan could have enforced follow-on but avoided to. Azhar Ali has opened the innings for the national side as Ahmed Shehzad is already out of the series due to hair line injury. He had received a bouncer by Corey Anderson in the first innings that forced him to drop his bat on to the wickets. The painful exit will force Ahmed Shehzad to stay out of the game for next six weeks.
Latham scored 103 off 222 balls with the help of 13 boundaries. He was taken out by Rahat Ali. Corey Anderson scored 48 while Watling scored 42 runs. No other batsman from New Zealand really took a start in the first innings and McCullum (18), Williamson (3), Taylor (0), Neesham (11), D Craig (1), Tim Southee (0), Sodhi (25) and TA Boult (0)* portrayed a sorry card for New Zealand in response to Pakistan’s 566 for the loss of 3 wickets.
