GALLE (Dunya News) – Fourth day of Galle test proved the luckiest day for veteran Sri Lankan batsman Kumara Sangakkara as he listed himself on the 3rd position of all time most run-scorers in the International Cricket.

Kumar Sangakkara completed his 26000 runs in the International cricket and named himself in the list along with Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.

Indian star batsman Sachin Tendulkar is on top of the list scoring 34357 runs while former Australian Captain Ricky Ponting follows him with 27483 runs.

Sangakkara broke another record in the same match against Pakistan when he scored double ton and became the second batsman to score the most number of double centuries. It was the 10th time when Sangakkara passed the 200 mark. Australian legend Sir Donald Bradman leads the list with 12 double centuries while Brian Lara is at 3rd position who has achieved this milestone 9 times. Pakistani Javed Miandad is at the number 8 position with the help of 6 double centuries.
