DHAKA (Dunya News) -- West Indies have set a total of 167 run target at the loss of 6 wickets for Pakistan in a crucial match being ‘do or die’ for either team to reach semi-finals of T20 world cup.
West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first. Pakistan claimed 6 crucial wickets.
DJ Bravo was run out after making 46 runs off 25 balls in the final over. Ramdin was ousted on the bowl of Zulfiqar Babar when he tried hit an elevated shot and was caught by Umar Akmal.
M.N. Samuel was bowled out by Shahid Afridi at 20 runs. LMP Simmons was run-out by Umar Gul at 32 total runs.
Chris Gayle’s wicket was taken by Muhammad Hafeez just as he made 5 runs whereas D.R. Smith was restricted at 8 score and sent back to pavilion by Sohail Tanveer.
Pakistan meets West Indies in a `Do-or-Die` final group league encounter of the ICC World Twenty20 here today Tuesday.
Both the teams are locked on four points each and it will be a virtual quarter-final clash to decide on the second semi-finalist from Group 2 after India emerged group.
The match is being billed as a battle between the mystery spinners with West Indies banking heavily on Sunil Narine while Pakistan`s hopes will be pinned on Saeed Ajmal.
"The team that plays spinners well will win the match. We know that it is a match where we can`t make a mistake," Pakistan captain Mohammed Hafeez said on the eve of their clash against West Indies.
