Summary South Africa chased the easy target of 72 with six overs to spare.

FATULLAH (Web Desk) - South Africa beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the warm-up match of World Twenty 20 here on Wednesday.

Hashim Amla scored 24 and while AB De Villiers remained not out on 20 runs. Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi took one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistani captain Muhammad Hafeez won the toss and elected to bat first but tight and Economic bowling from Tsotsobe restricted Pakistan to 71 runs.

Pakistan’s entire batting line-up once again collapsed very badly as only three batsmen scored in double figure.

Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad and Sohaib Maqsood were the top scorers from Pakistani side while Shahid Afridi scored only six runs.

Waune Parnell, LL Tsotsobe and BE Hendricks took two two wickets while AM Phangiso and JP Duminy got one wicket each.

Remember Pakistan has to face their traditional rival India on the opening match of Tournament.
