Summary Pakistan have always had a good bowling attack, the former cricket said.
ISLAMABAD (APP): Former Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan has said that team Pakistan is capable of beating any side in the world along with brilliant spinners of the time.
Talking to PTV Sports, legendary spinner said that it had always been a great opportunity to play against the Pakistan back in old days. He said that Pakistan have always had a good bowling attack, and always produced wicket-taking bowlers.
“They have a lot of variety in bowling especially with three quality spinners like Afridi, Ajmal and Hafeez and that is a very good attack, which can perform on any given day against any side”, he added.
To a question he said that now a days cricket has become more easy for spin bowling and that is mainly because of more cricket is happening in South Asia these days.
He said that spinners like Saeed Ajmal, Muhammad Hafeez and Ajantha Mendis are great addition in spin genre.
He said that spin used to be a dirty word in T20 cricket, only used sporadically and mainly just to dart in the ball when fast bowlers had failed to slow the run-blasting.
“Spinners are now attacking weapons in T20 cricket and they will be key aces on the turning pitches in Bangladesh,” he asserted.
