DUBAI (AFP) - Pakistan were 11-1 in their second innings at lunch on the third day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Dubai on Friday.

Khurram Manzoor was not out on two as Pakistan now need another 212 to avoid an innings defeat.

Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 388 in their first innings on the third day of the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Friday, to take a 223-run lead spearheaded by centurion Mahela Jayawardene.

 

Pakistan managed just 165 in their first innings.

Resuming at 318-4, Sri Lanka lost their last six wickets for the addition of 70 runs, with paceman Junaid Khan posting Pakistan s best figures of 3-102.

Jayawardene scored 129 from a 423-minute knock. He was bowled by Saeed Ajmal, the off-spinner finishing with 2-56 in 34 overs.

Left-arm paceman Rahat Ali finished with 2-131.
