PALLEKELE (AFP) - Heavy rain has delayed the start of the first Twenty20 international between New Zealand and Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Tuesday.
The stands were empty at the Pallekele International Stadium as bad weather ensured the covers were still in place at the scheduled toss time of 6.30pm (1300 GMT).
The preceding one-day series was shared 1-1 with one match rained off.
