DHAKA (AFP) - Rain delayed the start of the fifth day's play in the second Test between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.

The play had been expected to start at 10:30 am (0430 GMT), an hour after the scheduled time, due to an overnight shower.

However fresh drizzle forced the match officials to keep the pitch under cover, delaying the start further.

Bangladesh were 269-3 overnight in the second innings, leading New Zealand by 114 runs.

Left-handed middle-order batsman Mominul Haque remained unbeaten on 126 alongside former captain Shakib Al Hasan (32 not out).
