ISLAMABAD (AP) - Ex-international cricketers have blamed poor team selections for Pakistan's early exit from the Champions Trophy in England.

Sarfraz Nawaz and Rashid Latif targeted opening batsman Imran Farhat and Shoaib Malik as the prime culprits for Pakistan's two below par totals against the West Indies and South Africa.

Both batsmen combined for just 12 runs in two matches as Pakistan was bowled out for 170 against the West Indies and 167 against the Proteas.

Latif says it's high time for Pakistan to bring in younger players instead of falling back on players like Farhat and Malik.

Nawaz has also called for Misbah-ul-Haq to be replaced as captain.
