Summary Bangladesh has never won a test match against Sri Lanka.


GALLE (AP) -  Sri Lanka declared their second innings after reaching 335 for four as tea was taken early on the final day of the first test against Bangladesh on Tuesday.

 

Bangladesh has been set a target of 268 runs in 37 overs. Bangladesh has never won a test match against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka lost three wickets in the afternoon session with Mahmudullah accounting for all of them.

 

Mahmudullah ended a 230-run stand for the second wicket between Kumar Sangakkara and Tillakaratne Dilshan when Sangakkara was spectacularly caught at short mid-wicket.

 

Debutant Kithruwan Vithanage was promoted to bat at No. 4 and he scored a quick 59 off 70 balls with seven fours and a six.
Mahmudullah finished with three for 70.
