Summary ICC has confirmed that Pakistan will play its Women's World Cup matches in Cuttack.

The International Cricket Council has confirmed Pakistan will play its Women s World Cup matches in Cuttack.

The ICC announcement made the announcement on Friday. Tournament organizers in India moved Pakistan s base and matches from Mumbai for security reasons. Pakistan play Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in group matches in the World Cup, which starts on Jan. 31.

Because of tension on the Kashmir border, right-wing party Shiv Senna threatened to disrupt Pakistan s matches in Mumbai.
Cuttack is 1,350 kilometers (850 miles) from Mumbai, and will also host Super Six matches and a playoff.

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson says it is "grateful for all the support ICC has received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India during a difficult situation, which was not of cricket s making."
