Spinner Saeed Ajmal has been named to the world one-day international team of the year, after his Pakistan Cricket Board protested his absence from the world player award shortlist.The addition of Ajmal, the top-ranked ODI bowler, may go some ways to easing anger in Pakistan where PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf called his omission from the individual award an error, and said he was saddened by it.The PCB went so far as to threaten to boycott the International Cricket Council awards.Ajmal is among 12 players from six teams selected on Friday. India leads the way with three players, including captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. England skipper Alastair Cook and Australia captain Michael Clarke also made the team.
