Summary The marginal decline extended the rupee’s recent stability against the US currency, although the movement remained limited.

KARACHI (Dunya News)  - The Pakistani rupee strengthened slightly against the US dollar in the interbank market on Monday, as the greenback declined by three paisa during the first trading session of the week.

According to market data, the dollar closed at Rs276.97, down from Rs277 at the end of the previous trading session.

The marginal decline extended the rupee’s recent stability against the US currency, although the movement remained limited.

Currency market movements are closely watched by businesses, importers and investors because exchange rate fluctuations can affect import costs, external payments and overall economic activity.

The impact of Monday’s movement on broader market trends remains uncertain, with further exchange rate movements likely to depend on market demand and supply and developments affecting Pakistan’s external accounts.
