Summary Pakistan stocks staged a strong rebound Tuesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index gaining 1,421 points to close at 169,392 after a period of bearish trading.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) staged a strong recovery on Tuesday as renewed buying pushed the benchmark KSE-100 index up by 1,421 points following a period of persistent bearish pressure.
The KSE-100 index closed at 169,392 points, recording a gain of 1,421 points during the second trading session of the week.
The benchmark touched an intraday high of 169,988 points, while its lowest level during the session was recorded at 169,189 points.
Trading activity also remained significant, with approximately 370 million shares worth Rs17 billion changing hands across the market during the session.
The overall market capitalisation of the Pakistan Stock Exchange increased by approximately Rs128 billion, reaching Rs18.856 trillion by the close of trading.
Tuesday’s gains provided some relief to investors after the market had experienced sustained selling pressure in previous sessions.
