KARACHI (Dunya News) — The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recovered the 180,000-point level on Wednesday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 464 points by the close of trading.

The market opened on a strong note during the third trading session of the week, with the KSE-100 Index surging by more than 1,000 points to reach an intraday high of 180,863 points.

However, the bullish momentum eased during the session, with the index surrendering some of its early gains.

At the close, the KSE-100 Index settled at 180,311 points, up 464 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the benchmark index had fallen 1,463 points to close at 179,846 points, amid selling pressure.

The latest recovery pushed the index back above the key 180,000-point psychological level, signalling renewed buying interest in the market.
