Summary Pakistan’s stock market reversed an early 900-point rally, with the KSE-100 Index falling 119 points to close at 181,310 amid volatile trading.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a volatile trading session on Monday as a strong early rally reversed during the day, leaving the benchmark KSE-100 Index down 119 points at the close.

The market started the first trading session of the week on a bullish note, with the benchmark index gaining more than 900 points during early trading.

The KSE-100 Index climbed to an intraday high of 182,347 points, reflecting strong buying interest among investors.

However, the positive momentum failed to sustain as selling pressure emerged during the trading session. The market subsequently reversed its gains, with the bearish trend continuing until the close.

At the end of the session, the KSE-100 Index settled at 181,310 points, registering a decline of 119 points compared with the previous trading session.

The benchmark had closed at 181,430 points on the last trading day of the previous week.
