Summary Global crude oil prices declined on Tuesday, with WTI falling to $81 per barrel and Brent crude dropping to $86.36, easing pressure on energy markets.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Global oil prices moved lower on Tuesday, with both West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude and Brent crude recording notable losses amid weaker trading in international energy markets.

International market data showed that WTI crude oil fell 1.61% to $81 per barrel, extending losses during the trading session.

Meanwhile, Brent crude, the global benchmark for oil prices, declined 2% to $86.36 per barrel, reflecting broad weakness in the international energy market.

Oil prices fluctuate in response to changes in global demand, production levels, geopolitical developments and market expectations. Daily movements can influence fuel costs, inflation and import bills for oil-importing countries.

For Pakistan, sustained declines in international crude prices may provide room for lower import costs if the trend continues, although domestic petroleum prices also depend on exchange rates, taxes and government pricing policies.

Market participants will continue monitoring global supply conditions, economic data and decisions by major oil-producing countries for further direction in energy prices.
