Summary Pakistan Stock Exchange extended its losses as the KSE-100 Index dropped more than 1,800 points in early trading, slipping below the 170,000 mark after Thursday's steep decline.

KARACH (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed another sharp decline on Friday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index falling below the 170,000-point mark as heavy selling continued during early trading.

At the start of the fifth and final trading session of the week, the market opened on a negative note. The KSE-100 Index dropped by more than 1,800 points, slipping to 169,885 points and losing the key 170,000-point level.

The decline comes a day after the stock market recorded significant losses. At the close of trading on Thursday, the KSE-100 Index had fallen by 2,690 points to settle at 171,739 points, reflecting continued bearish sentiment in the market.
