Summary Global oil prices fell sharply after US President Donald Trump announced a deal with Iran, easing tensions and pushing crude and gas prices downward globally.

NEW YORK  (Dunya News) —Global energy markets witnessed a sharp decline in crude oil and natural gas prices following US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a new agreement with Iran, easing long-standing geopolitical tensions in the region.

According to international market data, US crude oil dropped by $3.53 per barrel, settling at $87.77. Meanwhile, Brent crude declined by $3.19, reaching $91.06 per barrel.

Natural gas prices also slipped, falling to $3.16 per MMBtu as traders reacted to expectations of improved supply stability and reduced risk of regional disruption.

Market analysts said the announcement reduced fears of escalation in the Middle East, leading to immediate selling pressure in energy markets and a drop in risk premiums attached to oil prices.
