QUETTA (Dunya News) - The Balochistan government has announced new operating hours for commercial establishments across the province.

According to an official notification, shops, markets, shopping malls, and bazaars will be required to close by 9pm.

Wedding halls, marquees, and event venues will be allowed to remain open until 10pm, while restaurants, cafés, and food outlets will be permitted to operate until 11pm.

The notification states that takeaway and home delivery services will be exempt from the new timing restrictions.

Pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and medical laboratories have also been exempted from the regulations. Bakeries, tandoors, milk shops, and dairy outlets will likewise remain outside the scope of the restrictions.

In addition, petrol stations, CNG stations, and electric vehicle charging facilities will not be affected by the new rules.

Gyms, sports facilities, IT companies, and call centres have also been granted exemptions from the revised business operating hours.

The new measures are part of the provincial government's efforts to regulate commercial activity and energy consumption across Balochistan.
