ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Commercial airline fares are expected to decline after the government announced a major reduction in jet fuel prices.

According to official details, the price of jet fuel has been reduced by Rs111.44 per litre.

Following the cut, the new price of jet fuel has been fixed at Rs330.32 per litre compared to the previous rate of Rs441.66 per litre.

The significant reduction is expected to provide relief to airlines and may contribute to lower ticket prices for passengers.

Meanwhile, the price of light diesel oil also witnessed a change.

Officials said light diesel oil recorded a reduction of Rs8.08 per litre, although the revised figures released showed the new price fixed at Rs273.92 per litre compared to the earlier rate of Rs265.84 per litre.
