Summary Pakistan Mini Mazda transport has announced a 10% fare hike nationwide after fuel price increases, while public transporters also warn of rising inflation and costs.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Following the recent increase in petroleum product prices, Pakistan Mini Mazda Goods Transport has announced a 10 percent hike in freight charges across the country.

Central President of Pakistan Mini Mazda Goods Transport, Haji Sher Ali Chaudhry, speaking to the media, said that fares were not increased on May 1 on the government’s request; however, continuous rise in diesel prices has now made the increase unavoidable.

He said the new fare structure will come into effect immediately from today, adding that transporters are facing severe difficulties due to rising operational costs and fuel price hikes.

Meanwhile, public transport operators have also announced an increase in fares, stating that the rise in petrol and diesel prices will trigger a wave of inflation, further increasing the hardships of already burdened citizens.
