KARACHI (Dunya News) – The price of gold on Monday witnessed another significant decline in line with dropping rates in international market.

The yellow metal became cheaper by Rs21,500, bringing the new price per tola to Rs490,362. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold plunged by Rs18,433 to settle at Rs420,406.

On the international front, the price of gold has decreased by $825 over the last three days as the precious commodity saw a drop of $215, with the price per ounce reaching $4,676.
Furthermore, the price of silver has fallen by Rs602 per tola, now standing at Rs8,405.

Meanwhile, Oil prices fell nearly 5% on Monday and were heading for the steepest single-session decline in more than 6 months, after U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran was "seriously talking" with Washington, signalling de-escalation with an OPEC member.

Brent crude futures were down $3.38, or 4.9%, at $65.94 per barrel at 0528 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude fell $3.33, or 5.1%, to $61.88 per barrel.
