Pakistan Railways breaks 30-year daily revenue record

Federal Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi announced that Pakistan Railways has achieved record daily revenue, surpassing 30 years of performance.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Railways has set a new daily revenue record, the highest in the last 30 years, Federal Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi announced.
In a video message, the minister said reforms implemented over the past eight months have significantly increased both passenger and freight income. For the past 15 days, daily revenue has reached PKR 300 million.
Hanif Abbasi added that Pakistan Railways has been fully digitized nationwide under modernization efforts and is progressing toward sustainable growth.
Station upgrades are underway, and special attention is being given to railway tracks, with improvements planned from Nokundi to Rohri and Rohri to Karachi. Contracts for these upgrades have already been finalized.
The minister emphasized that all targets for this fiscal year, aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision, will be fully achieved, with completion of all planned goals by December 31, 2026.
