KARACHI (Dunya News) – Gold prices went downhill on Friday in both international and local markets, while silver prices stayed put without any change.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold fell by $15 per ounce, settling at $3,330. This global drop trickled down to Pakistan’s domestic jewelry markets, where gold prices also slid.

At the local level, the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs1,500, bringing it down to Rs355,700. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold slipped by Rs1,286 to Rs304,955.

On the other hand, silver stood firm. The price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs4,013, and 10 grams of silver also held steady at Rs3,440.

Traders said the decline in gold was mainly driven by the global market trend, while silver stayed flat as demand failed to pick up.
