Cement Exports rise up to 47 percent

47 percent increase in cement export recorded in last year. Cement export to India tumbled and increase to other countries including Afghanistan. According to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association 10.13 million tons cement was exported in financial year 2008-09. It was 7.716 tons in year 2007-08. With 15 percent decrease, cement exports to India remained 0.669 million tons. With 15 percent increase to Afghanistan and 81 percent to other countries export rise upto 0.75 million tons. With 14 percent increase to Indian on monthly basis, cement export remained 70 thousand tons and with 23 percent increase to Afghanistan cement exports remained 0.365 million tons.
