LAHORE (Dunya News) – The government is all set to propose increase sales tax on most items of basic necessities including sugar and ghee.
The ghee and sugar prices will go up after the imposition of one percent additional sales tax.
Tea, coffee, noodles, pasta and children’s snack such as jam, jelly and marmalade are likely to become more expensive due to the increase in sales tax.
Clothes, leather, paper napkins, baby diapers, utensils and watches would also be expensive due to the imposition of one percent sales tax.
