Rupee depreciates as greenback gains in interbank, open market

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The dollar Monday started becoming more expensive against the rupee in the interbank and open market.

The price of the greenback was increased by Rs1.67 in the interbank market, following which the dollar closed at Rs 279.26 in the interbank market.

The dollar closed at Rs277.59 at the close of business on the last day of the last business week.

The prices of the dollar are also increased by Rs4 in the open market, following which the American currency is selling at 285 rupees in the open market.
