ECC approves Rs1.52 per unit surcharge for K-electric consumers
KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet approved on Wednesday a surcharge of Rs1.52 per unit on the electricity bills.
At a meeting presided over by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the ECC permitted the surcharge on K-electric bills. An additional Rs1.52 per unit will be charged from the consumers in 12 months.
The ECC also took up the revised Circular Debt Management Plan. It also allowed the government institutions import of pharmaceutical raw materials.
Various ministries and departments also approved supplementary grants.
