Share of development and non-development is Rs42bn and Rs190bn respectively
MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – The next fiscal year 2023-24 budget with a total outlay of over Rs232 billion will be tabled before the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Tuesday (today).
The budget volume represents a Rs69bn increase when compared to the outgoing financial year of 2022-23.
As far as the development expenditures are concerned, the allocated amount reportedly stands at Rs42bn, representing a 47 per cent increase.
The remaining allocations of Rs190bn are reserved for non-development purposes.
Out of the Rs42bn development budget, the communication sector has begged the largest share of Rs14bn.
When it comes to how to manage to the allocated amount, the state will get Rs30bn from Islamabad while the state is supposed to manage Rs12bn from its own resources.
