Is rare petrol price relief around the corner?
Reason being global downward trend in crude oil prices
(Web Desk) – Prices of petroleum products are expected to reduce by April 1 after the international market saw a downtrend in the prices of crude oil.
Sources said that the price of petrol could go down by Rs4- 5 per litre while diesel price could see a reduction of Rs15-20 per litre. “However, the Finance Ministry is expected to keep the prices unchanged”, sources added.
Currently, the price per litre of petrol is Rs272 after it had seen a rise of Rs5 and that of high-speed diesel is Rs 293 after a rise of Rs13. The prices took effect from March 16.
