Price of 15 kg flour bag jumps to Rs1900 as mill owners are unwilling to lower price, sources

LAHORE (Dunya News) –The prices of wheat and poultry rise in Lahore once again after a two-day decline.

Market reports have claimed that the price of wheat had decreased to Rs3,900 per kg, the price of chicken in the city has climbed by Rs18 to Rs489 per kg.

Despite the low price of wheat, the flour mill owners are unwilling to lower the price of flour due to which the price of one bag of 15 kg commercial flour has once again jumped to Rs1900.

According to market sources, there is also a lack of flour bags at regular stores and the proprietors of the mills have resisted lowering the price of flour.

The district government appears to have made no effort to lower the pricing.
