PKR snaps losing streak, recovers by Rs 1.31 in interbank
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistani rupee gained Rs1.31 against the US dollar on Wednesday in the interbank market after days of depreciation by the local currency.
According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the local currency gained Rs1.31, or 0.64%, against the greenback.
The rupee touched Rs200.59 against the US dollar. The currency had dropped to a record low of Rs202.83 on Tuesday. The value of the dollar had risen sharply by a total of Rs.4.90 in the last two days.
On the other hand, in open market, the US dollar falls by Rs 2 and was closed at Rs 202.
