Rupee falls by 48 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs166.87
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar strengthened by 48 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs166.87 on third business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs166.39. Dollar has reached to 1-year high despite higher foreign exchange reserves.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 41 paisa and closed at Rs197.17 against the last working day’s trading of Rs196.76 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.51, whereas an increase of 42 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs229.57 as compared to its last closing of Rs229.15.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal appreciated by about 13 paisa each to close at Rs45.43 and Rs44.49 respectively.
