Rupee falls by 43 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs166.39
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar strengthened by 43 paisa in the interbank on Tuesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs166.39 on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs165.96.
Since start of August, dollar has risen by Rs2.72.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by 96 paisa and closed at Rs196.76 against the last working day’s trading of Rs195.80 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.51, whereas an increase of 82 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs229.15 as compared to its last closing of Rs228.33.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal appreciated by about 12 paisa each to close at Rs45.30 and Rs44.36 respectively.
