Rupee gains 47 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs165.81
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar weakened by 47 paisa in the interbank on Thursday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs165.81 on fourth business day of the week compared to previous closing of Rs166.28.
Since start of August, dollar has risen by Rs2.14.
Meanwhile, the price of euro depreciated by 40 paisa and closed at Rs195 against the last working day’s trading of Rs195.40 the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.50, whereas a decrease of 62 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs227.74 as compared to its last closing of Rs228.36.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal depreciated by about 13 paisa each to close at Rs45.14 and Rs44.21 respectively.
