OGRA approves hike in gas prices by 14 percent

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has allowed the recommended increase of 14 per cent in gas prices in Pakistan. The final approval will be given by the Federal government.

According to OGRA’s decision for Fiscal Year 2021-22, Rs 86.93 per unit for Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Ltd (SNGPL), and Rs 55 per unit Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) has been suggested as the prices of natural gas to meet revenue shortfalls of the gas companies.

The summary of the decision has been sent to the federal government for final approval. Final prices of natural gas for the consumers will be determined after federal government’s approval.
