Adulteration is no more exclusive to edibles as fuels are also being mixed with chemicals.

A village Machike near Sheikhupora houses huge fuel depots from where it is supplied to various cities. Here, Dunya News exclusively learnt, petrol and diesel are mixed with certain chemicals to increase their quantity. There are small units built around the fuel reservoirs, to carry out the adulteration process.These ‘adulteration units’ are called service stations.The workers employed their say they only get a negligible part of the ‘cake’ while big dealers make huge illegal profits. They also revealed the process of adulteration is carried out with the consent of the buyers.ATF, Kerosene oil and spirits are mixed to increase the quantity. Motor mechenics are of the view that these chemicals are very damaging for vehicles.
