Rupee gains 20 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs153.04

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar decreased by 20 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.

The greenback closed at Rs153.04 on third business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.24.

The greenback has lost 15.39 rupees or 9.57 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro depreciated by 63 paisa and closed at Rs183.45 against the last working day’s trading of Rs184.08, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.4, whereas an increase of 13 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs212.56 as compared to its last closing of Rs212.43.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 6 paisa each to close at Rs41.66 and Rs40.80 respectively.
