Rupee falls by 26 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs154.13.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar increased by 26 paisa in the interbank on Monday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs154.13 on first business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.87.
Since start of April, dollar has strengthened by 83 paisa or 0.54 percent. The greenback has lost 14.3 rupees or 8.86 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro appreciated by Rs1.12 and closed at Rs186.46 against the last working day’s trading of Rs185.34, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.43, whereas an increase of 98 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs214.65 as compared to its last closing of Rs213.67.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 7 paisa each to close at Rs41.96 and Rs41.10 respectively.
