OGRA has sent a summary to the federal government

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In order to provide relief to the masses, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is likely to slash prices of petroleum products.

Sources privy to the matter told Dunay News on Thursday that petrol and high speed diesel prices will presumably be reduced by Rs2 per liter each.

A summary in this regard has been sent to the federal government by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) today and the new prices will come into effect following the premier’s approval.

OGRA has also recommended not increasing the levy rate to maintain the current prices.

Earlier on April 1, government also reduced price of diesel and petrol by Rs3 and Rs1.5 respectively.
